The Challenger Learning Center in conjunction with Heartland Community College's Corporate Education has developed an intense team-building program to help your industry or organization improve communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills through a simulated space mission. A corporate mission at the Challenger Learning Center consists of three components:
- Teambuilding Activities - Whether tackling the infamous "Space Blanket" problem or playing"Radioactive Hot Potato", your group will be challenged with unique space-themed teambuilders.
- Space Mission - Participants will have to work as a team, communicate effectively, and think creatively as they embark upon their own simulated space mission.
- Reflective Discussion - No team experience would be complete without an opportunity to reflect upon what has been observed, learned, and experienced. Reflective discussions make it possible to apply the day's lessons to the workplace.
Corporate missions are designed to provide several benefits for any industry's or organization's team:
- Opportunity to build communications, teamwork, and problem solving skills.
- Simulated space mission takes participants out of the workplace environment and into an interactive environment.
- Reflection sessions to review performance in the earlier exercises and demonstrate skill improvement methods.
- Cause for paticipants to switch roles with other teammembers.
- Written materials to assist with applying mission outcomes in the workplace.
Industry and organization leaders have two corporate programs to choose from:
- Corporate Trainer - A four (4) hour program with supplemental discussions and activites designed to improve communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills. Corporate Trainer programs can accommodate 16-28 participants and cost $1500 per mission.
- Corporate Development - An eight (8) hour program with supplemental "workplace transfer" discussions and activities customized to your needs with an emphasis on critical thinking and strategic planning. Corporate Development programs can accommodate 16-28 participants and costs $2500 per mission.
