If your school is unable to finance its CLC missions, the following fundraising strategies may be helpful:
Student Fundraisers - candy bars, car washes, bake sales . . . these fundraising staples are effective because they spread the financial burden among all of the students. Instead of $600, each student only has to raise $20-$40.
Educational Grants - You can often find technology or career awareness grants in your community. CLC missions emphasize real-world applications of classroom concepts in our high-tech simulators. If you need additional information for a grant application, contact a Flight Director at the Challenger Learning Center at (309) 661-1621.
Community Businesses and Organizations - Local businesses and organizations are often untapped sources of support for educational programming. Church groups, rotaries, veterans organizations, and local businesses may be willing to donate some or all funding for your CLC mission.
Parents and Grandparents -Sometimes the best funding sources are in your own backyard. When parents and grandparents of students understand the educational benefits of a CLC mission, they are often willing to fund entire class missions for their students.
